國際學術報告：How research can support farmland biodiversity conservation in Europe and in Switzerland

摘要：Agricultural lands – arable and grassland – make up one third of the earth’s land surface. In Europe, with 47% the share of farmland is even higher. The contribution investigates the advantages and drawbacks of land sparing (limiting biodiversity conservation to nature reserves) as compared to land sharing (multifunctional agriculture, combining production and conservation goals) for the European context. For cultural landscapes such as in Europe, the current policies of land sharing should be further pursued. Global change and climate change, however, call for a dynamic approach, because agricultural practices will change as a function of technical progress, market conditions, regulatory frameworks and changing climate conditions. In addition, the potential distribution ranges of wild farmland species will be directly affected by climate change. Therefore, conservation goals and measures need to be adapted to those changing framework conditions.
報告人簡介：Felix Herzog 博士，瑞士聯邦政府農業生態研究所（Agroscope）農業生態和環境部門副主任，農業景觀與生物多樣性研究團隊負責人。他長期從事農業實踐與環境、農業景觀與生物多樣性、生態系統服務評價、新生產力系統（如農林相互作用機理）等方面的研究。協同完成了瑞士農業環境政策關于生物多樣性和氮磷的國家評估報告。他是瑞士高山夏農未來情景研究項目督導組成員。參與了多個歐盟項目計劃，并負責協調有機和低投入農業系統的生物多樣性指數的歐盟研究項目。目前在國際學術刊物上發表科研論文150多篇。
